Gastronomy
The old egg house has an important place in Berlin's history. It was a popular place for leisure and recreation over 100 years ago. Eierhäuschen Essen und Trinken GmbH, managed by Jessica-Joyce Sidon, is the new tenant of the catering facilities in the Eierhäuschen. This includes the 500 square metre beer garden with 250 outdoor seats and a playground as well as the 175 square metre restaurant "Ei-12437-B" with 70 indoor seats plus around 80 seats in the dance hall. A further 176 outdoor seats are also available on the restaurant terrace and in the restaurant garden.
The restaurant's kitchen offers its guests modern German cuisine with subtle French influences. The catering concept is based on the use of predominantly regional ingredients, which are prepared in close relation to the season and region. The restaurant's sustainable concept is a key result of four years of public participation in the future of the Spreepark.
The restaurant is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm, Friday and Saturday also from 6 pm to midnight.
The beer garden starts the new season on the weekend after Easter and is open at weekends from 12pm to 8pm until the beginning of May. Daily operation is then planned again from May. Weather-related deviations from this plan are possible.
