Planning & Construction

English village

Originally, the set architecture in the form of a medieval village included a hall of mirrors, a haunted house and other play elements for children. In August 2014, there was a major fire at the Spreepark in which some of the buildings of the English Village were destroyed. In the meantime, the burnt buildings have been demolished.

The impression of the former village is to be taken up again by a new building that reflects the historical stock. In the old Spreepark days, a tent at the back was used as an event venue. The new building will be a solid wooden construction reminiscent of a circus tent with an eye-catching folding structure.

A special concern of the planners was the use of sustainable materials. The design planning is currently being finalised, and the building application is to be submitted before the end of the year 2023.
