The "Eierhäuschen" (Egg House)
Get out into the fresh air, soak up the sun on the banks of the Spree, look out over the water for hours, take a boat down the river, enjoy gastronomy and experience works of art – all this will be possible for all Berliners in and around the Eierhäuschen from 2022.
Berliner Immobilien Management GmbH (BIM) already started the refurbishment of the egg house in 2019 in accordance with the preservation of historical monuments and environmental standards. Building on earlier times, an excursion restaurant with a large beer garden directly on the waterfront is once again being created inside and outside the Eierhäuschen.

Gastronomy Operator for the Eierhäuschen Wanted
We are looking for a gastronomy operator for the iconic Eierhäuschen at Spreepark from 2022. Initially for 6 years, the restaurant in the Eierhäuschen will serve as a prelude to the reopening of the Spreepark area and will give the starting signal for the revival of one of the most popular excursion restaurants in Berlin.
Where Relaxation Meets Art
In addition to catering, artist residences and exhibition rooms are also being created under the roof of the Eierhäuschen. The Eierhäuschen is creating new, inspiring free spaces for art, which have meanwhile become rare in the city, and gives interested visitors insights into the work of artists from Berlin and around the world.
In order to make the space around the Eierhäuschen even more spacious for excursion guests and Spreepark visitors, the neighbouring Spreepark-Werkhalle was partially demolished and will be converted into an event venue at a later date. One of the two new main entrances to the park is being built directly at the Eierhäuschen and will be integrated into the Werkhalle.
The expansion and renovation of the Eierhäuschen should be completed by 2021 and the opening is planned for 2022.
